GDPR: Updated Terms and Conditions
We've just published an update to our standard Terms and Conditions, available here.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a hot topic, as I'm sure you can tell from your email inboxes over the past few weeks. For TextRazor it's mostly business as usual. We've always committed to not storing any of the text data that we process on your behalf, and we've always done everything we can to secure your data when in transit.
The GDPR introduces some new concepts that we have formalized in our terms. The "Data Processing Addendum" newly added to the end clarifies our responsibilities under the new legislation, and allow the use of TextRazor as a "Processor" or "Sub-Processor" for customers processing documents that may contain Personally Identifying Information. We've also further clarified the point that we're not storing the "text" you send to the API, and that we will first obtain your explicit consent if we ever need to do so for any reason.
Please feel free to email us if you have any questions about this.
